About
My work reflects objects in nature I’ve seen or experienced during my travels or daily life. Whether they’re a handful of unnamed seeds seemingly trapped in a sandbox, lone wildflowers dancing in the wind, or sunset seen through the filters of a wooded forest, I transform my memories through the strokes of my brush. Recently, I’ve been focusing less on the objects themselves but more on their relationships--the matches and mismatches. I hope that my use of contrasting lines, planes, and textures can provide an opportunity to reflect on the mismatches and harmonies in life.
